The Tullibardine distillery was founded in 1949 but closed in 1994, a few years after this whisky was bottled. It was bought three years ago by a French wine company, Picard Vins & Spiritueaux. Since then the distillery has produced a wide range of whiskies which have been 'finished' in their wine casks of different types such as Sauternes, Burgundy, Sherry, etc.

As an independent bottling, this whisky, bottled at cask strength and with a good age shows the nature of the whisky as it is without any finishing in wine casks.
