Nose: Custard powder, orange zest and soft nutty notes. very creamy with lime cordial and pancakes with butter.
Palate: Tangerines, soft kiwi fruits and a hint of mango. A rich juicy whisky.
Finish: Oily waxy fruits on the finish leaving a lasting fruit syrup on the finish.
In 1999 the distillery was mothballed until production restarted in 2013 following major refurbishment. It is owned by Chivas Brothers, who in turn is owned by Pernod Ricard.
Nose Sunday tea time with vanilla custard powder, orange zest and fruit cake, very creamy nose with some lime cordial and warm pancakes with melted butter. Palate What an amazing start with the nose now the palate hits you with sweet Tangerines, kiwi fruits and just to finish off the fruit mix we have mangos! This is juicy rich whisky. Finish The finish is a continuation of the nose and the middle palate rolled into one with a oily waxy fruity syrupy tone. Time for another dram just to make sure!
